Listen to the audio while you read the text, then read the text out loud, trying to imitate the pronunciation you hear in the audio. - focus on pronouncing each word correctly. Circle the words that are difficult to pronounce and repeat each one ten times. The second time, read faster and focus on making your English flow, speaking each sentence with a natural rhythm. In addition, whenever you learn a new word, try saying it in a complete sentence. If you this with every new English word you learn, it will help you speak English in complete sentences more naturally. Located in Quang Binh Province, Son Doong Cave was discovered by a local man named Ho Khanh in 1991, and became known internationally in 2009 thanks to British cavers, led by Howard Limbert. The cave was formed about 2 to 5 million years ago by river water eroding away the limestone underneath the mountain. It contains some of the tallest known stalagmites in the world - up to 70 metres tall. In August 2013, the first tourist group explored the cave on a guided tour. Permits are now required to access the cave and are made available on a limited basis. Only 500 permits were issued for the 2015 season, which runs from February to August. After August, heavy rains cause river levels to rise and make the cave largely (inaccessible). * Questions: Question 34. What happened to Son Doong Cave in May 2015?

So how did you eat on this train? Vova: We stopped several times at stations along the way and on every platform you could buy local food. The effect of travelling of large amount of people sometimes is incredible. Here are some examples of it. Large number of people coming to one place once at a time can have less comfortable accommodation as it was in Scotland where only 40% of tourists were offered hotels. Tourism is one of the principal contributions of pollution in the Mediterranean Sea and as the number of people increase, the problem worsen. Several laws and initiatives have been implemented in order to protect the Mediterranean Sea from further degradation. The rapid tourism development of Bali has had a great effect on its natural environment, affecting water resources, increasing pollution and localized flooding, as well as putting pressure on the island’s infrastructure. In Cancun, Mexico, tourism has extensively damaged the lagoon, obliterated sand dunes, led to the extinction of varying species of animals and fish, and destroyed the rainforest which surrounds the island. It was only twenty years after it was developed, that the government of Mexico decided to limit projects along the coast to prevent further damage to the island’s environment. In Trinidad and Tobago there are shortages of water due to the overpopulation of tourists on the island. The most damaging effect of tourism has been the destruction of coral reefs, as they are harvested for sale to tourists and destroyed by tourists stepping on them as they enter the water. *Decide whether the following statements are true (T) of false (F). Part 5: Read the passage and decide whether the statements are true (T) or false (F) WHAT WAS YOUR FAVOURITE FOOD WHEN YOU WERE A CHILD? I loved lasagne. It all began when I was three years old. I flew to Australia with my parents on Singapore Airlines. On the plane they served special food for children, and one of the dishes was lasagne. I fell in love with that dish immediately and ate a big portion. Since then, whenever we eat out in an Italian restaurant, I've chosen lasagne. DID YOU HATE ANY FOOD WHEN YOU WERE A CHILD? Sure, I really hated fish. My mother loved it, so we had it almost every day. Although she cooked different dishes such as steamed fish, fried fish, or fish soup, I still didn't like the taste, the smell,
- or anything about it. The strange thing is that I liked fish nuggets at Kuick, and I had them sometimes on Sundays. WHICH DO YOU PREFER: HAVING MEALS AT HOME OR EATING OUT? My job involves travelling a lot, so I treasure any meal with my parents at home. It's our happiest time when we can gather together and share a lot of things. I'm having so much fun here at English Camp. It's a pity you can't join us. It's my third day here and I wish the camp would last a month!!! On the first day, we put up the tents. They held a tent competition, and although we tried our best, our team was only the runner-up. Guess what? I met Nam, our classmate, but we couldn't talk much because he was in another team. Before lunch we played some team building games. It was exciting! In the afternoon we went fishing. Hung, a student from Luna School, is a really good angler. He caught ten fish while I caught none. However, we let them all go. The second day, when we had a cooking competition, was also awesome. We had to draw lots to choose the dish we would cook. Hung did ours and we were asked to make sushi. Hung and I didn't know how to make it, but lucky us - we had Chie in our team! She's a student who comes from Tokyo and has lots of experience making sushi. Our sushi won the first prize! It's great that Chie taught us how to make this healthy dish. Today there's an English speaking contest on how to learn English successfully for non-native English speaking students.
